Through Velody Trade’s proprietary Business Process Analysis, we’ll analyze specific areas within your supply chain to identify time and cost savings, operational inefficiencies and potential risk areas.

This analysis will include a comprehensive Trade Compliance Review. Having a solid compliance program in place is vital in reducing your company’s risk and protecting your invaluable import privileges. The procedural framework that accompanies this part of this review will also identify additional operational efficiencies.

After the Business Process Analysis and Trade Compliance Audit have been completed, we will present our findings in the Optimized Business Process Report. This report will identify areas for cost savings and determine risk vulnerabilities.

Duty Drawback

Duty Drawback is a refund of 99% of the duties paid on goods imported into the United States that are subsequently exported unused or destroyed. The drawback claimant can either be the importer, manufacturer or exporter, provided the proper authorization and documentation is filed with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

According to government reports, 75% of all eligible companies do not file their drawback claim. That leaves an estimated $2 billion in unclaimed Duty Drawback refunds each year. Many companies are not aware of their right to a duty refund. We can help you determine what you may leave unclaimed.

Through the Velody Trade Business Process Analysis we will compare the rates and service of your existing forwarder to those of our partners. This process keeps us current with rates and our partners competitive.

Whether you use our partner or continue to use your existing forwarder, we consistently find our involvement offers substantial savings on rates, as well as an end to confusing and unexplained charges that make invoices difficult to audit. Customs Brokerage
